      Power Failure: The power indicator doesn’t flash, the monitor doesn’t display and the buzzer doesn’t beep.

     A  Check whether the power cord is plugged properly and check the fuse. If everything is normal, open the cover of the machine, and check the link between the power socket and the power switching module and check the corresponding welding spots. Disconnect all the components from the power switching module and check the validity of each output by the multimeter. If the failure still exists, change the power switching module. If the power output is normal, connect the Controller, Monitor, Motor Driver, Emitter/Receiver sequentially to check the failure component respectively.

     

     Q  Control Panel Failure: The monitor displays normally, but all the buttons on the control panel don’t work. Disconnecting the foot switch doesn’t fix the problem.

     A  Check the link between the Control Panel and the Controller. If the link is OK, then change the keyboard panel.If the buttons work, but the Gain cannot be adjusted, then check the link between the Gain adjuster and the keyboard panel. If the link is OK, then change the Gain adjuster.If the buttons and the Gain work, but the trackball doesn’t work, then check the link between the trackball and the Controller. If the link is OK, then change the trackball.

     

     Q  Footswitch Failure: The Footswitch doesn’t work or the keyboard doesn’t work when the Footswitch is connected.

     A  Check the validity of the Footswitch by the multimeter. If the output is abnormal, then check the link, the welding spots of the connector and the internal welding spots of the Footswitch. If the output is normal, then open the cover of the machine and check the link between the Footswitch socketand the Controller.

     

     Q  Monitor Failure: The power indicator works after the power is switched on, but the monitor doesn’t display.

     A  Check the video signal by connecting video devices to the Video out port of the rear panel. If the signal is normal, then open the cover of the machine and check the link between the display panel, the Controller and the power module. Check whether the rear panel of the CRT is plugged properly and check the validity of the CRT. If everything is normal, then change the display panel.The monitor displays normally but flickers. It may be the failure caused by the damage of potentiometers of the Brightness or the Contrast. Change the corresponding potentiometer.If monitor displays asynchronously, then adjust the potentiometer H hold, V hold, H phase of the display panel.

     

     Q  Motor Driver Failure: The scanning area shows a series of arc-shaped high-contrast lines after the activation of B scanning. It may be the failure caused by the Motor driver after the excluding of the transducer problem.

     A  Open the cover of the machine, and check the link between the Motor driver, the transducer sockets and the Controller. Check the validity of the powersupply. If everything is normal, then change the Motor driver.

     

     Q  Controller/D.S.C. Failure: There is no beep or continuous beep after switching on the power. There are no reactions after pressing the buttons and no display on the monitor.

     A  Open the cover of the machine, and check the power supply of the Controller. If everything is normal, then change the Controller.

     

     Q  Emitter/Receiver Failure: No information is displayed when activating A or B mode.

     A  Open the cover of the machine, and check the link between the Emitter/Receiver, the Controller and the power supply. If everything is normal, then change the Emitter/Receiver.

     Q  Failure of Power Switch

     A  Please check if the battery is well and completely plugged into the slot and locked, and check if the battery power is sufficient.

    If the above is operated and no failure is detected, please open the housing case, remove the shielding case and measure power input voltage of the digital board. The normal reading should be12V±5%.

    If the voltage is abnormal, the problem may occur to the battery interface board and corresponding measures should be taken. The battery interface board connects the digital board power cable and battery, and is fixed at the back housing case with 4 screws. Then please remove the battery interface board for checking or replacing.

    If the voltage is normal, the problem may occur to the mainboard. This problem may be judged by substitution method. If problem with the digital part is identified, then the main board should be replaced.

     

     Q  Abnormal display of LCD (color error, screen flash etc.)

     A  Open the housing case, remove shielding case and check if the back light unit control cable, LCD data cable are correctly and well plugged. Connect these cables properly to exclude the problem.

    If the above mentioned procedure does not work, operators may judge if problem occurs to the main board with substitution method and replace the main board when necessary.

     

     Q  No display on the LCD but the instrument responses when touching the LCD.

     A  Open the housing case, remove the shielding case and check the LCD back light board control cable. Replace the connecting cable to solve the problem when necessary. Check the LCD data cable, and change the data cable when necessary to exclude the problem. Measure the voltage of back light control cable pin, and check whether the voltage complies with the standards listed in LCD manual. If the above mentioned procedure does not work, operators may judge if problem occurs to the main board with substitution method and replace the main board when necessary.

     

     Q  Abnormal clock display, clock resetting can’t be saved.

     A  Open the housing case, remove the shielding case and replace the clock battery on the main board to solve the problem. The battery is SONY CR2032 (3V Lithium battery). Press the clip on the battery base and battery will pop up. Operators may equip a new battery at the battery base with positive pole up and negative pole down. If the setting still can’t be saved with the above measures, operators may check if the battery base is well welded and solve the problem accordingly.

     

     Q  Thermal paper runs normally but no printing information when touching “PRINT”.

     A  Check if the thermal paper is placed in an opposite direction (thermal side in upper   direction) and place the thermal paper correctly to solve the problem.

     

     Q  No information displayed when the probe is scanning.

     A  Check if the probe cable is connected well with the probe socket. If the probe is well connected, do scanning with a normal probe. If there is signal, problem with the probe can be identified. The probe should be replaced to solve the problem. If the replacing probe still produces no signal, then please open the housing case, remove shielding case and check the signal cable at soldering side of the analog board and probe socket connecting cable. If problem is identified with substitution method, please replace the connecting cable to solve the problem. If the above procedures do not solve the problem, please check if the connecting cable is well connected and identify the problem with substitution method. Replace the connecting cable when necessary. If the above mentioned measures do not work, the problem may occur to main board. Please identify the problem with substitution method and replace the main board if necessary.

     

     Q  No response when pressing the probe button.

     A  Make sure that the probe and the main unit are well connected and then click “SCAN” key on the main interface. If the probe can work normally, the problem may occur to the probe. Please identify the problem with substitution method and replace the probe when necessary. If the above measure does not work, please open the housing case, remove the shielding case and check probe socket connecting cable. Identify the problem with substitution method and replace the connecting cable when necessary. If above measures do not work, the problem may occur to main board. Please identify the problem with substitution method and replace the main board when necessary.

     

     Q  Recharging failure with the lithium battery.

     A  Power on the charger and measure the no-load voltage of power output end with the digital multimeter and check if the voltage is 12.6V±5﹪. If no problem is detected from 1), the problem may occur to battery. Recharge the low power lithium battery and observe if the charger indicator turns red. If the indicator remains green, then problem occurs to the battery. Please replace the battery to solve the problem.
